Hello.

I'm building a custom flashlight, which will draw up to 20 amps, so I'm looking for source of high current batteries. A friend of mine has above mentioned B & D battery, which is working, but he just dropped it and some plastic parts broke off, so can't be fit into his grass trimmer any more. He's giving it to me for free, but battery is quite far away to go and grab it. So maybe anyone had took it apart, which cells are inside? are they high current?

Probably a string of five high-current Li-ion 2Ah cells in the ever-popular 18650 format. It is likely that they will be capable of 10C discharge. You will of course almost certainly need to separate them from the pack electronics and will thus need to charge and discharge them within the nominal voltage/current range for the specific cells.

He managed to take it apart. Inside there are light green cells, marked as SJ18650B01HFG. Google knows nothing, no other markings on the cells.
