If you are conservative it's the... "Make American Flashlights Great Again 90% diffuse reflector".

If you are liberal it the "Pumpkin Spice 90% diffuse reflector".

I could give a crap what your politics are... this is flashlight stuff!

Yep. It's orange. It glows. It diffuses your beam.

These will go on sale on October 8, 2018. Columbus Day or Indigenous Peoples Day... though it has nothing to do with any of that!

These dim more rapidly than the green or Double Beryl, but still gives a few hours of "glow time" with dark adapted eyes.

What does it do on the sphere? I have no idea. I was too busy yesterday making and shipping Double Beryl bezel assemblies. Will find out next Monday. It does give the exact same 90% diffuse pattern to your beam.

So that top pic isn't glowing right? It's naturally orange, not whitish that glows orange?

No, it's off white. The camera doesn't get the orange glow very well so I lit up the first pic with a UV light to get the orange glow to show and the zombies to glow green. The second picture is just the glow. The light is off, but the camera makes it look white/yellow.

This little babies looks really cool  As Always $72?

Btw. after buying 10 reflectors in total, do I get one for free?? That would be cool. Also if I get the 11th HDS light for free…. guess that would be soon the case. :D

Dan, you should not be that innovative. It is expensive for me. I was hoping after the Ti Rotary all is over, than the Bronze, Brass light was coming, than glowing reflectors… hmmm! Guess I like it!

Yes. All drops will be at noon Tucson time. If we changed the time, I think it would royal mess folks up! LOL!

Definately, Monday is reflector day!

Friday is "Flashlight day" (Special materials, LEDs, …)
Now you only need to find good limited stuff for the remaining free days ;)

I heard the powder used to make these reflectors is the same stuff the president uses to color his hair...
Just don't tell me the powder is secretly a collection of presidential dandruff...

Hogo, what LED did you try this with? I imagine there will be some kind of tint shift...

I was really entertained by the idea that the DB reflector could help fill in the valley in the LED light spectrum.

I'm liking the orange, hopefully I am not too busy at work this time and forget about trying to place an order. limit of 20 might make it difficult as the double beryl lasted less than a minute

It is a pity this reflectors are limited with this short amount. I understand that it is a lot of work to make this babies, but a run with let say 50 or 100 reflectors would be cool.

I like the idea with the limited stuff. For me it pushed HDS a lot, and I buy a lot of this limited stuff since it is cool stuff. The only disadvantage is most of selling this limited stuff was finished after 1-2 minutes.

but I also understand the idea of this low numbers of the limited stuff. Since HDS is only a small company it is not good having stuff in the storage for a too long time is idle capital.

But at all I like it Hogo starting with this idea of limited stuff hand has that much success with this idea. That shows it is a great idea :twothumbs

Someone on the FB HDS EDC page did their own test on the Double Beryl. Here are their results on an XPG 3700k High CRI. Went from 91 to 92 CRI. I don't think the MAFGA will do the same, but it will be interesting to see what it does.

So my HDS XPG Hcri 3700K is actually a HDS XPG Hcri 3100K?
BTW I find that my HDS XPG Hcri 3?00K and 219c 3000K don't need the beryl reflector. They seem to have large enough hotspots for me. I put it on a 219b 4000k. Not sure if I like the results. It diffuses the light a lot and I seem to need a really high level(~15/16). Where as with the 219c, I use a much lower level.

Cree has been known to use very loose binning.

XPG 3700k w/DB on the left 219C 3500k on right

I'm a little surprised the CRI dropped, but not at all that the CCT dropped.
Any chance of a shot of you crossing the beams with either a High Noon w/standard reflector or a High Noon with the Double Beryl?

I think it would be especially cool to see the Pumpkin Spice Crossed with the Double Beryl since the DB raises the CCT 150 and the PS drops it 300...

Bet you if you put both in your double HDS holster and turned them both on the light you got would be to die for.
