Hello I am new to this forum and have a laser power supply questions.
1) why do lasers have three flying leads
the one I'm dealing with has a blue, black and green
I have a IR military laser that is 18 - 32 vdc powered, the copmany also make the same unit 3vdc, the unit I have has aa battery cell holders in place and a voltage regulator off the 18-32 vdc input that has red and black 18-32vdc in and three outputs blue , black and green in a row. I WANT TO MAKE THE THING WORK WITH TWO AA LIKE IT SEEMS LIKE IT COULD!

ANY INFO APPRECITATED!@

one lead is common.
one is power to the emmiter.
one is feedback to control the driver circuit. Usualy some kind of photo diode.
