Well... you asked for it.

Top row:
Earlier night pearl, with frosted (hand ground) LED.

Middle row: Brighter, newer night pearl with distinctly blue-violet tint.

Bottom row: Slightly less bright, but with whiter, less blue color.

In all cases, the flashlight was stood up on the floor and shot up at the cieling.

Thanks, Stingmon.

Looks great for doing smoke-ring impersonations.

But really, what's your personal impression? Is it a good alternative to the standard bulb; or not quite there yet?

(Much appreciate all your hard work, by the way.)

For a flashlight of that size, I'd say "not quite there yet".

It's close in brightness to the Turtlelite 1 at its tightest focus, but it quickly gets ugly rings when the focus is widened.

Let me slap some batteries in my Turtlelite and look at them side by side...

Beam is tighter and considerably brighter than a Turtlelite 1 with new batteries.
I used the bulb shown in Row 3 of the above picture. Time for another picture I guess...

Thank you once again, Stingmon, especially for putting in the LedCorp Pro Series III by way of comparison. Many, many thanks.
