my trackball started out with 2 red LED's... well i bought 2 blue LEDs(one of em i put 12v of current thru and burned it

and i replaced one of the red LEDs... i think it looks pretty cool, and my buddy told me i should post this on here:pTrackBall Mod

I'm surprised the blue worked - the LEDs must have originally been connected in series; that's the only component-free configuration that would allow that.

well actually, there are 3 little silicon boards in there, 2 of them had a red LED on them, they all were connected and such, i used a 5v blue LED in it, and connected it right where the first LED was... i would have used a 3.7 v led but radio shack was out... the 3.7 is actually a brighter LED, which woulda been a little cooler

we also modified my friends Dreamcast with a blue LED to replace the stock orange one, we used a 3.7v one there, it turned out very nice
