I'm not sure there exists such a thing, but....does anyone make a single 123 battery holder?? Similar to the 2 AA holders at Rat Shack?? I'm working on a battery draining device, but need a simple holder for the battery.

Ditto for the single 123 holder. I also would like to get some of these for headlamp mods.

Maybe we could construct one if commercial versions are not available?

I was considering getting a single AA holder from Rat Shack...cutting a section out and plastic welding it back together......hmmmmmmm . I'll have to stop on the way home.

Yup. Digikey sells 'em. Look for '2/3 A cell holders'. There are two as I recall.

You can also use the Radio Shack single AA cell holder as is with a half inch flat head number 8 wood screw on the plus end to make up the difference. I use Duct tape (AKA 'the handyman's secret weapon') to build up the diameter of the screw shank. Using brass is a nice touch...
