Trick to removing Luxeon from Star?

Is there a trick to removing a Luxeon LED from the Star? I thought I better check here before I start prying at it and possibly damage the leads or something... Thanks! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

This is pretty much the best method I've found, except you can skip the slitting of the heat sink and just bend it. I like to use a scalpel to bend the legs up, as toothpicks tend to break.

I'm with Cheif Wiggum. Don't slit the back of the star before you bend. Follow the steps mentioned in that post and the emitter pops off like nobody's buisness. Instead of a toothpic I use a horse shoeing nail.
