Does anyone know how to metal spin?
And would it be practical to form something similar to an egg cup - to hold a Star at the bottom and a collimator on top.
I think the metal would have to be 1.5 or 2mm to get the heat out of the Star.
For the ininitiated (as I was a short while ago) metal spinning is pushing a flat disc of metal around a former in a lathe to make bowl shapes.
