I was at a lawn party yesterday. Tiki-themed. You know how it is, a few drinks and the bocce set comes out. Anyway, it was getting dark and we were going to pack it in because we couldn't see the pallino (the target ball). Then I took the photon II off my keychain, which we used to mark the ball (The ARC LS would have been a bit much). It worked well, plus it was yellow, so it matched the glow of the citronella torches. So, we were able to stay out and finish the games and get eaten by mosquitos. A happy ending.

Saw a piece about computer controlled, LED, lit up garments for evening hot spots. Unconventional lighting is becoming...unconventional.

The low tech, amber LED, of your Photon was a perfect, but unique, job for that light. Most people would consider the Photon II to be high tech, I'd imagine.

It seems that bocce is a good game for the evening. I wonder about lighted balls???? It would make for an interesting variation.

Sportcraft Lighted Bocce Set

Doesn't say if it's LED or not.
