the 17mm one fits just fine. did it just the other night /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

The thing is,,,
The LS is kinda holding it in place.
The new style reflectors hace 3 little legs. and dont have the outer sleeve,
so, they are shaped more like optics, and you might be able to use the optic retainer ring to hold it in better,
then when you tighten in the LS/circiut/heatsink just snug it up on there nice, if you tighten too much, it will smash the LED.

Not sure what was involved but I ended up with a modded Arc LS that has a Cyan LED and McFlood. It interchanges with the NX05 as well so that might be an option for you to consider. I think the sandwich shop still has McFloods.

coachbigdog,

If you use the new style 17mm reflectors make sure the legs are hitting flat on the circuit board not on top of any of the components like the LT1618 chip, you can use the white delrin ring to help center the reflector and YES do not tighten the metal retaining ring to much because you can break the legs of the reflector /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif

The IMS reflector gives a good balance between throw and spread so essentially you have both worlds /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif heck since you're in there might as well replace the lexan with UCL lens /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif hope this helps.
