I have redesigned the Key-Lux AA slightly. It will be available soon. I will be sending them to get plated on tuesday! I will post some pictures of it here and also on the website Monday afternoon.

People have mentioned they love the new look of it. That is only peoples opinion. Everyone has their own. We shall see what people say about it. This will be the production model.

Chris,

Will the new Key-Lux AA 350mA boards have the -MJ marking on them? If so, I may be forced to buy yet one more TNC light, and I really don't need more lights right now. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif

The New design on the Key-Lux AA will still use the 200mA board for now. I don't have a time frame on when the new converters will be finished. Right now you will get a much longer runtime on the AA using the 200mA comverter.

I would recommend not to use lithims. The converter might handle it but there won't be a warranty on them since people will try to use the Lithium Batteries.

I see you mentioned that the "new" boards aren't ready yet so the current light pictured above will be using a 200mA board. Will the new boards be 350mA boards?

These lights will become regular offerings on your website right?

Thanks.

The new boards will be 350mA when they are completed. And these will become a standard item on my website.

Ah ... too tempting .. stop it! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

So this will be the last run with 200mA boards then?
If yes, count me in! The 200mA is the one big advantage of this marvel!

At first I didn't like the cutouts on the head because they seemed like an unnecessary decorative element. Then I realized they would probably reduce weight and provide a better grip when turning the light on and off. Beautiful! I plan to get one.

I'm also glad the 200mA boards will be used on this run; a moderate light level is more useful for me.

Chris,

Any chance I can get an empty host (no lux, no circuit)
and mod it with a Lux3 DD with a Lithium ion 3.6v?

I have a thread tracking the progress on arcaa's and ultrag's
LINKY

I think it would be neat to see a key luxaa in action putting
out 80 lumens! If you send me two, I'll some one back! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Maybe you have some defective hosts you can dispose of /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I can't wait for this light with the 350ma. I will use rechargables, so I would prefer brighter, rather then longer run time.

I want to get the AA and the N cell, I think a combo deal was mentioned as a posibility. I would also need to get a couple recharble N cells, and two of the N cell to AA adaptors. (Yes, I assumed the N cel with AA adaptor woudl not work in the AA body).

Thanks for making this availible to everyone, and affordable.

As soon as they come back from the anodizers I will take some pictures and then send them off to get Laser engraved and the reflective coating put on.
