Just fooling around shooting a new watch and thought this one was nice. I certainly do love these Krill lights though I'm really at a loss to put them to some functional use. They are fun.

Enjoy.

The numerals and chapters are coated in Seiko's proprietary luminous compound, LumiBrite. It's works pretty well. It's not tritium. It's a light activated compound. Tritium is ok in some applications but overall, I'm not a huge fan of tritium on watches. It's short half-life and generally deleterious effects on the dial make it less than ideal for anything other than a disposable watch.

Seiko and Krill

The watch is a limited edition Seiko ANA Pilot's watch. You can read more about it from my review here .

The Krill lamp that looks blue actually has a distinct pink cast to it in regular balanced light. It's one of their green models (the "regular" version not the extreme version).
