I am late for submitting a logo for next run.
Please help.

When I look at company logos, they all seem to be very simple so I would like mine to also be simple.

On the packaging I think I would like JSBurlys and JSB-123 but would like other suggestions. I do not know if company logo and battery logo should both be on the battery or now.

I think colors should be something that does ok with Hard Anno but does not have to be HA colored.

Please help with your ideas, and Please keep ideas simple. Thanks Jon

simple is good.
why not just the company name and the item name in a not-too-flashy color (but still visible) on plain black?
less is more.
sorry, I have no graphical skills, just hollow words ...

I don't have anything specific in mind but something like Battery Station's labeling should be fine. Simple but clearly labeled with the brand name. Making it too elaborate would just make reading your brand name more difficult by cluttering it up.

I like brightly packaged batteries. That makes them easier to find in a hurry, such as when they're in a pack. Neon yellow and fire engine red both stand out really well.

Not yellow, it's a bargain or distress color.
Think about green, red or black body with gold lettering.

What exactly are you looking for, Jon? Strictly a logo that says "JSBurlys" for your site, or a battery label or what? If you let me know some exact specifications, I'm a graphic designer and I might be able to whip something up in Photoshop for you.

P.S.: My standard rate is $60 per hour with a 2 hour minimum, but I will also work for lights. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I am assuming you just need a basic logo and something to go on the battery label. Here are a couple of ideas. Of course these are just suggestions and colors, sizes, typefaces, etc., can be altered.

Label:

I guess a red label like sure fire /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ohgeez.gif would not be the best idea.

Nice & clean widow.
One thing, mixing fonts is a marketing boo boo in general.
Well two things, script can be difficult to read unless using larger size than would be clear in standard print.

I use to do some business consulting.
I don't charge for giving my opinions anymore.
I have more opinions than any market would allow me to charge for these days. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Just my 2 cents worth..

A red label may result in the cells being mistaken for SF cells, loaded into a light with 6V lamp system, resulting in a $15 accident /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Not sure what I am looking for...just lots of ideas. I will need something for the batteries them selves and the packaging.

Flashlight Widow's design is nice but I think the logo should be green colored, to symbolize the rechargeability.

John,

Thanks for your Email.
I'm at work at the moment and dont have access to my graphics software so I've just made do with what I've got...
Paint & Publisher!

But this is a Brief Plain example of what Im thinking!
"R" Has to be Prominent to point out that it is RECHARGEABLE!
Green also Indicates that is is RECHARGEABLE!
Blue and Silver I think gives it a bit of class.

Anyway I'll post more a few more designs with more detail tonight!

Thanks
Clint
P.S. Yes, I know Rechargeable is spelt wrong on the battery! will fix! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/buttrock.gif

Widow, Clint,

I like both of your ideas.

I think on the packaging I will need to note that these were built with LED lights in mind.

I do like the idea of green being in there and the word rechargable someplace in the design. I am starting to like the name JSB-123 for the battery name /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinser2.gif

I like Endeavour's second design with the green strips, but CR123A is maybe not an appropriate designation, since I think the CR signifies a specific 3.0 volt battery chemistry (123A signifies the physical size, which does stay the same). Maybe you could make up some new letters, like JSB123A.
