Re: F/S VIP mint uncarried condition

Charlie doesnot recommend it, so I have not tried it yet.

if Vin exceed vf, then lux goes into direct drive less diode in series.

If vf is Kbin 3.51-3.75, luxeon will run fine in Direct drive. li-ion will quickly drop from 4.2v to range of lux.

So far all of the lights, I've dropped R123's into has turbo charged the light with no ill effects so far.

I've been driving a TWOK sammie in CNC 123 w/AA pack, 14500 thu several battery changes with no ill effect. light does get boderline hot.

Does anyone know what vf lux's charlie used in VIP?

silly me, I should have simply measured. 3.150v by fluke 87, which means it has a H bin spec's.

Hey I'm keeping this VIP.

No. I mean yes except it will be in Direct Drive with no dimming and with a remote possibility of eventually harming the circuit. But otherwise, no. 3V input is the max in order for the multilevel feature to work.
