The normal life of a green pointer laser is between 2000 and 4000 hours, depend of many parameters such as quality of optical components, alignement of opticals, frequency of use, temperature of use, age of the captain, wind speed /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yellowlaugh.gif ...
A little calculation now :
Take an average of use of your pointer of 1 hour a day, which is too long for a normal use, but just for calculation. This is 360x a 10 seconds shot.
With a life expectency of 4000 hours this means that your laser will last about 4000 days or about 11 years!!
Even with 1000 hours of last this means about 3 years of this intensive use...
Then I let you choose modifying or not your pointer /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
