I found this earlier while browsing around laser sights. http://www.lasermate.com/ScubaGreenLaserMetal.htm

It looks sturdy for a laser pointer and is waterproof up to 60 meters (although I emailed them regarding this and they said it can go well past 100 meters but they are being conservative for understandable reasons) but I was wondering about a few things. First off, would firing a greenie underwater be dangerous because of possible reflection into the users eye??

Secondly I wanted to know if anyone here owns one and if they have had success in performing mod's on it. It is probably not all to powerful from the factory and at a price tag of $275 USD I would hope one could tincker with it some.

Why not putting any laser in an appropriate waterproof housing?
underwater torches/flashlights are available for pretty little money.
At least that would be my poor man's attempt.

I was considering doing just that but my skills as a fabricator are pretty lousy.
