Very interesting Li-Ion charger IC from TI

The IC from TI seems quite interesting. This has 2A Max charging capacity and charges single or multi cell Li-Ion battery packages. The problem with this IC is the small 20 QFN package, very difficult for hand soldering though. Is there anybody who knows how to hand solder QFN package ICs?

I think this IC can be used as a constant current step down converter operating input voltage range from 3.5V to 20V. It does not require external OP amp for constant current circuitry but with a single resistor for current setting.

Any comments??
