This stuff is simply amazing!

I did a comparo last night for a guy in General forum of several of my 5MM LED lights.

I found most to be quite artifacty and blotchy. Two of the worst offenders when viewed against white wall were Lightwave 2100 (3AA 4LED) and Opalec Newbeam.

The taping of the Lightwave looks hokey. But man o man it is effective!

For the Opalec, I taped the end of the black spacer. It helped a LOT.

I've used it on several incandescent lights as well.

Get some and try it! You'll LIKE it!

It's the BEST thing you can do for a Terralux MS2 with Luxeon SE emitter.

(edit: short of ripping out the SE and replacing it with a high dome.)

Not sure exactly what you are asking Koala.

If doing it to the Lightwave (with exposed LEDS) I put it over the edges that extend up SLIGHTLY past the LEDS. I run the tape over the edges, and the electrical tape around the head to hold it together.

On the Opalec mod, I didn't want to do the lense. So I put my tape over the end of the black spacer.

One the average light, I tape the lense and trim the edges with an X Acto knife.

Light output does not seem to MY eyes (and some others who have tried it) to reduce at all, and if so it is MUCH MORE than made up by the better beam!

One a standard simple 2AA light that I put a 5mm LED in, I put a little piece of tape on the end of the LED itself, and over the lense. It was the ONLY way to make THAT LED usable!
