Well folks, not sure if this is the right place for this but here goes.

Introducing Project Maxi-m@g - my first semi-home-brew mod...

As you can see, basically a 4xAA body I discovered which conveniently threads into a Mini-m@g head. The question is, which sandwich to use?
Obviously needs to cope with 6V in and preferably an L3T emitter.
So any suggestions please?

All suggestions/criticism help gratefully accepted.

L.

Apologies, somehow SNAFU'd the URL's /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Depends on the brightness and runtime you want. You will need a Downboy sandwich to cope with 6 volts. For insane brightness you could get a Donboy 917 with Lux III, but heat would be a problem. A Downboy 400 or 500 would probably provide excellent runtime with decent brightness.
For the reflector, you will need to either widen the hole in the stock reflector, or get something like an IMS SO17XA reflector.

Could you shrink your pic a bit? Some of us are on 800X600 default and the scrolling makes it difficult to read the thread.

I like wand lights.

This light may give you some ideas. It is a Neobeam donated free to a modder by Miciobigio. Flash....modded it and gave 100% of the auction proceeds to CPF (Flash....is the modder's handle). DB 700. NX05. Runs forever. Flash....did a gorgeous job on this mod.

It rides in my shoulder bag daily.
