Hey all. I was playing with overdriving some basic bulbs this evening and noticed that if I put a certain 2D Mag bulb in a 3D light, it was pretty bright and pretty white.

I was looking over many threads on such info and noticed that most folks don't suggest driving 2 cell bulbs with 3 cells. Tried it with a Krypton and it was bright for about a tenth of a second but with this bulb, I've turned it off and on at least 50 times and ran it for 5 minutes straight and it still works like a charm. This thing is much brighter than a Xenon 3 cell driven with 3 cells and just a touch dimmer than a 3 cell Krypton driven by 4 cells, but whiter.

Anyway, my point is, what kind of bulb is this? It is labeled 'MAG 2 CELL HK 16G' Of coruse, the '1' might be an 'l'. I'm pretty sure this is the original spare for my 8 year old (plus or minus) 2D Mag. The little ceramic thingy under the filament is green. I'd like to pick up several of these.

Are these vacuum bulbs? Obviously not krypton or xenon.

Thanks for your time and help.
