Question about Stinger to Stinger HP upgrade

I was thinking about upgrading my Stinger to a Stinger HP, but the HP has a bigger head, so it wouldn't fit as well on my duty belt. Does anyone know if it is possible to just buy a Stinger HP replacement bulb and put it in the Stinger, or is the socket and/or shape of the bulb different in such a way that this wouldn't be advisable?

The bulb to the Stinger is a 3.7 Volt, 6 Watt xenon gas filled bulb, as is the Stinger HP. But the HP model's bulb is quite a-bit bigger. So it would not fit the Stinger's reflector. Just buying the bulb would not work, sorry.

If you purchase an HP, you will not have an extra bulb in the tailcap. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon6.gif

HP bulb won't fit w/out the HP head. It's too fat...

I used to carry my stinger near the back of my duty belt.
Now since I went to the HP head I had to move it to my weak side. I have been thinking about going bacj to the smaller head since they have issued us tasers and I am hurting for foom on my belt. I think the hp is deffinately a good mod and it deffinately increses throw.
