Is an E2E with a KL4 Head the Same as an L4?

a surefire L4 is the exact same as an e2e with an kl4 head in the surefire product catalog it shows a e2e and kl4 combo and calls it an L4

Are the tailcaps between the E2e and the L4 different? I thought the L4 comes with a 'clickie' tailcap?

Yes the tailcaps are different but you can order that same tailcap and make any E2E or E1 a clickie.
Also, If you buy an E2E and a KL4 seperately, you will have "Executive Elite" engraved on your body of the light. If you just buy the L4, then you have "L4 Digital Lumamax" engraved on your light. The same goes for the L5 and L6. They are basically on C and M series bodies that are re-engraved to "L5" or "L6 digital lumamax"

The L4, L5 and L6 have Clickie TailCaps.
The L4's Clickie is called the Z57
The L5 & L6 Clickie is called the Z58
The L4's Clickie is called the Z57
The L5 & L6 Clickie is called the Z58

So I guess it depends on if you want it to say "Digital Lumamax" or "Executive Elite" on the side. .

And the cost. Cheaper to buy an L4 than make an E2E/KL4/Z57 combo...right?
