As I understood it this was only for people having a "CPF Coupon". I'm guessing it's from a raffle or something like that. He's making an exception for those people only.

You're right that exception is for the raffle coupons only. But "he" actually is a "she".

Interesting look. Somehow I figured the new ones would look kind of like the old ones, but I guess there's no way to avoid either a reflector or optics. I really like the tube look of the stainless Mckinley, brighter or not. But I'm sure looking forward to the lug end AAA's.

I just checked their site and noticed something under the coming soon section, something big!

1w Atlantic AAA and AA coming soon

Noooooow things are getting interesting! I have been using my modded Brinkman micro for a few years and have always wished for a waterpoof/idiot-proof and HAIII version. Time for a little Luxeon love on a keychain

I have been a good boy and have not purchased any flashlights for the last 5 months, now I am really jonesin' (I can't believe I am the first person to catch the AA and AAA versions)

Now that the ultra power models are available will there also be a supply of AAA ultra power heads available? I have several lug style bodies that I will be needing heads only for. If they are available will they be on the accessory section of your sight shortly?

Peak isn't known for multi-battery lights. (Do they make any?) And this new one is a single battery light. SURELY, Peaks new AA and AAA with be single battery lights. (I'm just hoping they have various brightness levels.)

    Sure,

These units will not be available right away. We are still doing quit a bit of testing and looking into a lot of different products that will optimize these units in what we want them to do.

As stated no Peak is not know for double battery configurations at this time, but we will be offering accessory packs in the future.

The goal intended for the Ocean Series AAA & AA at this time is for a single cell conversion. Other then that I have no more info until the project is completed.

What does that translate to for the price of

$119 does seem a bit high but consider what the Arc LSH's were going for in a twisty. I'd have to see one before grabbing it at this price.

Thr price for 1W Atlantic seems quite steep for me.

Considering the HDS EDC basic has the same price tag, I will wait to see how it stands out compared to that.
