How do you measure the current draw of red and/or green lasers using a digital multimeter?

This will help... but because of the relatively high current green pointers tend to consume you may only be able to use your existing meter on red pointers. (Unless you have a meter that has a current range in excess of 200ma).

In short, put the batteries in the pointer and connect the pos probe of the meter to the top terminal of the batteries and touch the neg probe to the case of the pointer or if it isn't chrome - to the rim of the battery holder.
