Dr_Joe Thanks - well unless you can produce a thousand lights, there is not much profit in making flashlights. At this point the goal is to make this light a reality. Then IF there is enough interest or orders for more runs, we'll make more (and that one will include a margin for us).
By the way a couple of goodies... the driver boards will be class 3, and are designed by a NASA certified specialist for cirquits. Also someone figured out a way to maybe squeeze 15% more runtime out of the driver with an extremely innovative approach never done before (the guy might go for a patent on that). Still needs testing, if it works, but that will go into the light as well.
Whoever signed up for the light will get a much more detailed descriptions soon, regarding all the other goodies in this light, I havent even talked about yet (Fixed brightness level version allows to adjust brightness with a screwdriver, assembly technique used, to make the light extremely sturdy etc..
Anyway more about all that later.
At least add in $10-20 per unit so you and your team can enjoy a night out when this run is finished !
Well there is a bit of room in there to fix things since the first run is a prototype run. But its not too much, and if we don't use it it will go straight back into the product for the K2 version upgrades or the brightness regulation upgrade...
Here is an image of the final design, for those who havent seen it in the sign up thread or are on the sign up list.
I still haven't heard back from the following CPF members who did a prepayment for the GATTLING LIGHT on what final options they want and payment of the remaining balance.
