I currently use single AA alkaline Ultra-G and Inova X1 lights in my emergency medical kits. Can I use a lithium AA in place of the alkaline battery without damaging these lights or taking away from what has been satisfactory performance under oftentimes extreme conditions?

FWIW: These lights are carried often, used rarely. When they are needed they are REALLY needed! I'm thinking the switch to lithium batteries will negate the chances of leakage and failure under extreme temps, etc. I carry a Surefire Z2 as my primary (a great light for its intended purpose); however, try removing foreign matter from an eye that is staring into a Z2!
