Could I use also M4 and M6 heads?

Yes, but you need the 9 volt lamp assemblies that fit the Turboheads. These are the N2, MN15, MN16.

The heads are the same on M3T, M4 and M6.
So yes, but you need the proper bulbs to
use in the Turbohead.
MN15 125 lumens for 60 minutes
MN16 225 lumens for 20 minutes
N2 105 lumens for 60 minutes,
but rounder beam than MN15 and not suited for use with guns.

N2 not suited for use with guns? I thought the shock-isolation was in the turbohead and not the lamp? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

The "N" Lamp Assemblies such as the N2 and N62 are not designed for the Millennium Series models. The outer (negative) spring contact of the "N" type Lamp Assemblies is shorter than the "MN" type Lamp Assemblies. Under certain conditions this spring may not maintain reliable contact with the Lamp Module Housing. The N2 and N62 should not be used in WeaponLights subject to heavy recoil, or used in 'mission critical' Millennium Series models.

Here is a photo of a few TurboHead Lamp Assemblies - the two on the right are MN type.

Notice also SureFire have changed their spring contacts material for the MN Lamp Assemblies.

Thanks to you all /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Thus MN20 and MN21 would not fit. Right?

The MN20 & MN21 do fit in the M3T but they are not designed to be powered by the M3T's three-SF123As.

The Millennium TurboHead is the same for the M3T, M4 and M6 (as well as all the Millennium Series WeaponLights that also use the Millennium TurboHead).

Therefore TurboHead lamps for Millennium TurboHead models all fit in Millennium TurboHeads. Obviously, certain combinations work and others do not.

M3T - MN15/MN16 (also can use the N2)

M4 - MN60/MN61 (also can use the N62)

M6 - MN20/MN21

SureFire's Lamp Assemblies are designed for the flashlights they are designed to be used in. Be careful when experimenting and changing stuff.

Best case you put a lamp in a flashlight that requires more batteries and you spot this because the output is pathetic and dim. (Example: MN21 in an M3T)

Worst case you put a lamp in a flashlight that requires less batteries and you spot this because the bulb explodes when you switch it on. (Example: MN15 in an M4)

Makes sense, but ....M6 runs with 2x123 in series, arranged in a group of 3 (parallel).
Thus my understanding is: M6 is a 6v flashlight, with 3 times the Amperage of an M2.
Thus MN20/21 should run on 6v bodies, provided head compatibility.
Now, I run my L6 body with two 150s pilas that output 7.4V (I can run MN11 HOLA for 20min).
7.4v are about 25% more than M6. But they perform less amperage.
Thus in the end I guess that I could run MN20 in its head...

O.K., So if I have an M3 and add M3T head plus A19 extender I will in effect have created and M4?.....William

With an MN60 or MN61, yes. With an N62, you have created an M6..For short(but fun)burn times anyway. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I was of the understanding that the M6's MB20 Battery Carrier ran two parallel sets of three SF123As in series.

You're right, my brain todayis wired in series with garbage box /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

"The M6's battery carrier has a number of functions but electrically, it produces two parallel sets of three SF123As in series. It's a 9V battery pack with a lot of punch!"

.............................
M6 MN21 six SF123A's 6.1V 4.9A 29.9W (500Lu rated)
M6 MN20 six SF123A's 7.2V 2.45A 17.6W (250Lu rated)

M3T MN16 three SF123As 6.5V 2.3A 15W (225Lu rated)
M3T MN15 three SF123As 7.6V 1.2A 9.1W (125Lu rated)

Guess who said this... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

But this said, 2 Pilas 150s have less voltage drop at same Amperage than 3x123......and this leads me to think that MN20 lamp could be used without major issues. Or not?
