Hey wayne or anyone else with an answer
I've noticed on the newer renditions of the downboy and nexgen there is a metal ring around the bottom of the converter. If i skip the glue and use the solderpaste to affix the conveter to the e-can.. Do i still have to ground out the board???

On the current NexGens, the ground ring is in tact and you can solder this ring to the can for the ground path.

On the current DownBoys, the ground rings is not connected. You can solder the ground ring to the can for a very strong mechanical bond, but you will still need to solder a ground wire from the can to the converter.
