Can anyone tell me the arc gap size of the Megaray and of the MaxaBeam? I want to know the size of the radiating plasma ball (object) between the anode and the cathode of the 2 types of short arc xenon illuminators and see how they compare or differ???

Maybe Peakbeam can help as far as the MaxaBeam goes and hopefully someone out there can also help with the Megaray???

TIA

The 75W XBO lamp in the Maxabeam has a gap (when cold) of 0.85mm. The 175W Perkin Elmar Cermax PE175B-10F as used in the Megaray 175 has a (cold) gap of 0.97 mm. There is little difference in the size of the arc gaps. Both figures are from respective spec sheets.

would it be possible to tell me where I can get a copy of the spec sheets of the MaxaBeam 75W XBO lamp as well as who the manufacturers are. You seem to be an expert and it is very informative and gratifying to listen to the likes of you. Thank you very much.
