I thought I could resist this, but the photos completely sold me on the Tritium. That is beautiful. PayPal sent for the addition of a blue Tritium vial.

I have got to stop looking at this thread. I just paypaled for another extra battery.
I am now up to 1 RAW with green Tritium and 2 extra batteries.
I am starting to think a couple would be nice, but must resist that temptation.

I did the exact same thing after seeing the pictures
Yes, green apparently green tritium is brighter than blue, but
my blue X2 glowring on my keychain is much brighter than my green, perhaps I have a dying glow ring though. Im not sure.
Bogus1 have a look at the links mtbkndad posted on page 15 of this thread regarding the "turks head knot" and how to tie it. This knot can be tied in the milled indent in the tail for attachment to a ring, I originally said paracord but it will be too thick unless you can get a thin gauge.
yeah I wouldn't suggest the the full 4 lead 5 bight knot. Stop after one cycle (fig. 10). That would be perfect
Orb, nevermind my PM, I didnt see this part about the knot.
SolarFlare, what do you think of some metal wire as the cord to make a knot? I am trying to think of something strong that wont break. Will thin paracord that will fit in the tiny indent be strong? I honestly dont know.
Thanks,
Stick with cord, its very strong. 550 paracord is a military standard and its called "para" for an obvious reason, they use it in parachutes. Each cord is designed to have a breaking strain of 550lbs hence the other part of its name. It would easily support your weight unless of course you are over 220Kg. I would use a lighter gauge cord so it will fit in the indent but even a thin braided cord will support many 10's of pounds before it will snap, your split ring would probably straighten out first
The cord has an outer wrap of whatever color you bought, and inside is some other smaller "strings", maybe if you take the strings out the outer wrap will then fit.
If not you could try the inner strings, I'll have to take a look to see what color they are tho...
I've got some orange cord I bought at county.comm. If the the USPS will accept some of it in a standard envelope I could send you some bobisculous.
We're going a bit off topic here. I'd suggest mammut 2mm accessory/utility cord you should be able to get it for a few pennies a metre at any decent climbing/mountaineering shop. You can get lots of colours, its rated at 0.85 kiloNewtons plenty strong enough to secure the Smallest 3W ........ RAW
Sounds like a plan. That was the last thing I was concerned about and I think we all can come up with something to fit the bill. I just want it on my keys somehow, and it will replace my Longbow.
The light is so small that it could easily be misplaced. My keys though, I never lose them. So I would feel better about carrying it.
Orb, you should recieve payment tonight!
