I just finished a little runtime test with this combination in an Aleph 2, and was very pleased with the results: 168 minutes at full brightness (2080 lux) before a rapid drop to near zero. That is some high efficiency! The Vf of the LED was 3.22 volts when measured at 700 mA.
A test with the TX1H in a DB1000 gave 3180 lux for about 5 minutes before it dropped out of regulation and began a gradual decline. It dropped past the 2000 lux mark at about 80 minutes.
