The lights:
ARC LS, modded with TX0K and second resistor to have about 500 mA.
QIII, modded with TWOJ.

The tests were made with a fresh CR123A in each light.
Samples were taken every 1 minutes, later every 10 minutes.
The ARC runs for about 10 hours, the QIII quits just after 3 hours.
After 10 hours, the ARC can still be used to navigate indoors with ease.
After 1:10, the ARC had some flicker for about 10-20 s, then stablized itself.
After 1:30, the ARC had heavy flicker until 1:38, then stabilized itself.
The brightness is no absolute value, it was taken with a brightness meter usually used for photography.

The QIII seems to be regulated, but has a low overall efficiency compared to the ARC.

When looking at the graphs, some questions arise:
The ARC seems not to be regulated - why not ?
Did I accidentally shorten the R15 instead of soldering a parallel ?
If using the stock resistor, would it be regulated ?
Would the brightness suffer much ?

Maybe someone could help me understand.
