Yup. My Mag3X is a parallel DD configuration. (if you need the construction details, just search "Homemade and modified" for "Mag3X", under my username)

You're welcome /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif One thing I learned though: go for J-bin Luxeons. K is a little too high. If I had not secured some with such a nice tint (TWAK) I would have gone J.

there is a chart showing the DD solutions.. to run from Ds parallel is needed.. "K" won't get you as bright as "J" of course.. The ELX-6 and the Tesla-6 both use 2 strings in parallel of 3 in series.. but they use a really awesome holder that puts 9 series AA bats in the space of 3Ds.. look in the elektrolumens forum.. i keep trying to find a non DD solution for 3-up lux and it's really tough if you don't have a big batt like 15.6V or 24V..
