Hey CPFers...i am in need of help on how to fix a broken E1L clicky...
I was using it, and then it got jammed in the on position. I played with it for a bit, and couldnt get it out of that position! I pushed it a few more times, and then it eventually got unjammed...however, now it will not lock into the on position...any tips?
I called surefire for a replacement, but they are currently on a backorder for those...
The last 3 I have purchased did the same thing.
I just kept cycling on/off and they all work.
It seems that they need a break in period anymore.
Make sure that when you are cycling it that it is screwed on the body(mine will jam if cycling them while not secured to a body)

Broken or jammed?
Are you pushing it in at an angle? Mine at first would jam consistantly when pushing them at an angle, try pushing it straight on and cycle on/off for about 2 min. at a casual pace.
Another thing you could try is loosening it and tightening it a few times then cycle it. You may have to adjust the spring tension IIRC the resistance the spring has, affects the mechanics of the switch.
Good Luck.
