Nuwai has 2 versions of a popular headlamp, 1W and 3W. I believe the 1W is model 712L. Can either of these regulated headlamps use R123s? Anyone have experience?

Are there reviews of these headlamps. How do they compare to the corona?

If you are planning to use rechargeable batteries, you may consider to choose headlights taking AA or AAA batteries. Then, use NIMH rechargeable ones.

Does that mean the models using CR123's cannot take rechargeables R123's?

I've got this duet light, almost the same as I've got the 4AA rechargeable version. Pretty satisfied, got it cheap. And you can replace the stock battery-pack with one with better cells. The ones that come with the light are 1200mAh.

Some beam issues, but of little practical importance. Battery indicator is handy and the nichas will work for a while after the Luxeon shuts down on low batteries.

I think a Favourlight version of this non-recharable light is reviewed on flashlightreviews.com. Same light different name.
