Camera/Computer Question

Is it always better to do any editing of digital pics on the computer, and not in the camera? My present camera (Sony V1) allows for trimming of a pic. This is a nice feature, but I always wonder if I'm losing something by doing this enlarging and cropping in-camera. Normally I just use Irfanview for pic editing.

My guess is it is fine to do it but I would practice on non important pics until you know how it works so as to not ruin a good shot. If you buy a large enough memory card it is a lot quicker to edit with a computer anyway and doesn't eat up batteries using the tiny lcd screen.

I think it is better to do on the computer, the camera sometimes will not give you an accurate display of the pictures due to the resolution limitation of screen. I have found the only thing that is worth using is the red-eye removal, at least mine does a dang good job.
