Lithum-ion improvement

Any rough idea when ion-lithum chemistry/capacity might improve? waiting for higher capacity 150S/A.

Wouldn't want to be buying lithum-ion's if its going to get improved soon. Will be kind of a waste of money

If you mean 10 % improvements, that tends to happen on all products just over time, sort of every 1 - 2 years. If you mean 50% improvements, I doubt that such a large jump would occur short term, as there has not been that kind of improvement in a one year period in recharge type cells in recent memory.

There are several improvements in the pipeline hopefully to reach actual manufacturing soon. People always post links to the articles around here. Some are more theoretical in the lab and others are really heading for the assembly line.

The most recent that I remember is some changes to the electrode design that lets the cells last much longer and I think charge and discharge faster, though I don't know about increasing capacity.
