I need some advise.
Iuppgraded my Mag Charger with a 1160 bulb and a new aluminum reflector, both from Light Edge.
Fantastic light, but when I had the light on for 5-10 minutes a vapor filled my reflector and condensed onto it.
Compromizing the light output. I tried to clean it the wrong way, soft cloth, alcohol.
I understand the light is a lot hotter and so it vaporized probably some lubrication or finger grease.
Can the reflector be saved? (it is a HOP)
What should I have done? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/help.gif
How can I prevent it in the future if I have to buy a new one.
Is it only temporary till everything inside is vaporized clean?
Help is greatly appreciated.

Inspect the bi-pin sockect and see if it has melted.
It can be a good idea to run the light without the head for a while to let it "smoke off". However, be careful when doing this, always assume that the bulb can explode, so wear eye protection if you are not shielding the bulb in some other way.

Come on guys, I need some help. I can't imagine nobody had the same problem?
How do I get in contact with Light Edge?
They have no phone number, nor email address.
Thanks

My guess is it's outgassing, you've seriously heated some plastic bits that didn't like it....
