I think the easiest thing for you to do would be to move the bulb up or down in the reflector and see which way focuses it better. Then, if you dont want to spend much money, just find some kind of makeshift spacer that can hold the bulb in place where you want it.

I have a 1 tenth inch thick spacer that Iron Man made and sold for 3 dollars.
He did a couple of runs and said that was all. It works well.
the ID is 1 3/8" and the OD is 1 5/8"
I took some pics and posted them about a week and a half ago showing a stock Thor and a Thor with a spacer and a 15 MCP Thor.

Suggestion for the spacer, the ID and OD match very close to
1 1/4 inch pipe size. Visit you local hardware store, buy a pipe nipple in steel or pvc, and slice up a few.....

Will the PVC material survive the operating temperatures
in the bulb socket area??

Hmmm, would sure want to check that with infrared temp gun or contact thermocouple maybe, I wouldn't put pvc in if subject to more than 160f or so. Also possible to use 1 1/4 inch ridgid aluminum conduit for the spacer.
