Don't remember anyone mentioning this before and I've never seen them before but just found some at WalMart today:

$6.47 for a pack of eight.

I've been buying the Max. Plus in AA and AAA almost exclusively since they came out. Hopefully the D cells will be as good.

I just bought a 12 pack of AAs at Target for $6.49. They were the same price as the regular gold labelled ones.

I went to the Rayovac site and couldn't find any info on them. What gives?

Well, they are maximum PLUS, and that means that they have, er, MORE, yea, that's the ticktet, yea, more power than the plain Maximum.

Does anyone remember the famous "Spinal Tap" line from Nigal Tufnal? "But, these go to 11!"

Seriously, I bought them, and they seemed to be good.

I figured, that:

1. I really liked the gold maximum ones, and everyone at CPF liked the RAYOVAC the best, so the maximum PLUS should be at least as good, if not better than the maximums!

2. I also figured that they were "fresher" just because they were newer!
