I've been poking through the various datasheets for boost and buck converter ICs, and often come across schematics for SEPIC circuts. As far as I can tell, they allow for the Vin range to cover the Vout of the circuit. Is this correct?
Also what are the advantages/disadvantages of this kind of circuit design? Seems to me that using one to power a LS would allow for more variety in choice of batteries.
