I won this headlamp on ebay for $9.50. The LED has an output similar to my minimag with madmax plus. Runs on 3 AA batts. package says up to 30 lummens but i don't have a light meter to verify it. there are 4 modes 100%, 50%, 25% & flashing. from the instructions it can run 3 hours at 100% but i haven't tested it out yet.

The light is activated by pushing a rubber covered switch. Pushing it once turns it on at 100% and then pressing it again cycles through the modes. to activate the flashing mode press and hold the button for 3 seconds.

The head pivots, with a plastic lip engaging plastic ridges to hold position. Kind of noisy and cheap sounding, but it will probably hold up fairly well.

overall a good deal for under $10.

This looks exactly like a unit that Pelican sells with their name on it. I have one, and like it a lot. You got it for a fantastic price too.

I have one. Got it over christmas for abouy $25.

I replaced the side emitter 1-Watt with a 3-Watt high dome. Very easy to do. Cleans up the beam a lot and drastically increases the side spill.

For $10 I might need to get another.
