Mag4C, UCL lens, 3xLuxIII TW0J stars + 3x IMS SO20XA reflectors, modamag's PTS-C-cu heatsink, nFlex driver housed in custom made alu holder, switch modified to momentary pushbutton switch (off-on), running on 4xPila150A or 4xLIR 18500 batteries in a custom-made battery holder.
The copper heatsink is epoxied into the Mag head for better heat sinking.
nFlex driver reconfigured to 1000mA. The driver is not potted.
min Vin to keep the light in regulation = 12.5V.
Lumens output: 3x (67.2 - 87.4) = 201.6 – 262.2 Lumens.
Lux reading at 1m using Meterman LM631: 290 – 630 – 1270 – 2060 – 2910 – 3900 – 5050 - 6260 Lux.
Runtime (in regulation) was 110 minutes (uninterrupted) on 4x protected LIR 18500 (1500mAh) batteries (AW) at the highest level.
You can read more about the nFlex driver here.
Thanks for looking.
Update: later the plastic IMS reflectors were replaced by metal McR20 reflectors. It made the light look more professional but unfortunately I don't have any picture of this setup to post. This light served me for nearly 10 years but now (Oct 2014) I'm in the process of rebuilding this light with modern LEDs and another driver.
