I have for any tinkerers, experimenters, and/or home mod'ers interested:

(1) Sony Li-Ion Battery. Model LIP-201, 7.2V, 1200mAH. Dimensions (approx.): 1.5"x2.75"x0.75".

I think this came from a old-style cell phone. It may be of no use to anybody, so if I don't get any replies, I'll just toss it in a week.

It's your for the asking, just you pay shipping (probably less than $1.00).

Stefan-

Yes, its rechargeable. As I said, it came I believe from a Sony cellphone, of 1998 vintage. Should have plenty of life left if you have a versatile charger like a Maha MH-C777.

Let me know...

Saaby can have it. I have too many Ni-Cd and Ni-MH from my old cell phone. Interesting how these newer digital cell phones have a standby time of 4 days (older phone was analog, hence the extra batteries).

If it's like the dozen that I have--from an older Qualcom phone (made by Sony), it will have two 16650 size Li-Ion cells in it. Probably graphite chemestry. Charge to 4.1V, discharge to 3.0V. Limit charge current to 1C and discharge current to 2C. Keep in the middle of the 'water is liquid' range and it'll be nice and friendly.

The Maha 777+][ is a pretty good charger for these cells/packs.
