Vikas, I only see 24 pcs of 1600mah AA's for $26.99 there. Perhaps the site updated shortly after your post? Still sounds like a great deal though. Too bad they don't ship internationally.

Target is carrying 4x1800AA RayoVac for $12.00
RayoVac upgraded their 4AA pack from 1600 to 1800 and kept the SKU number same. So make sure you pick up the newer stock.

CVS drug store has started carrying Duracel rechargeable and charger. They have 1850 in stock.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Makes me suspect the battery is the same, only now they print 1800 rather then 1600. There is large variation in the capacity of the NiMH from brand to brand even with the same rating.

Bottom line - find a brand you like and then get them as cheap as possible ( I love my panasonic 1600 that were $5 at PickNsave a few months ago ) - don't spend $$$ on a no-name brand that states it is 2000Mah.

EDIT - and be particulary wary of someone who has "1800mAh NiMH batts new in the shrinkwrap that he is willing to part with"

LOCO is more like it.
I know... wrong forum... but I have four 1800mAh NiMH batts new in the shrinkwrap that I'm willing to part with. I have more than I need now.

Send me an email if you're interested.

Sam's Club, 8 Energizer AA 1850mAH with dumb charger for 19.95. I just tossed the dumb, slow charger since I have a Rayovac 1hr charger. Don't know how well the Energizer 1850's perform. Time will tell. Also, I checked the Rayovacs at Wal-mart, the cardboard package says 1800maH, but if you read the mAH printed ON the battery, it says 1600mAH.
