Night-Ops Gladius : can the LED be switched?

Hi CPF members

I'm about to buy a Night-Ops Gladius and I want to change the stock Lux III star with a U-bin Lux III star. Is it possible to switch the LED inside the flashlight?

I asked the same question. The response I got was that it's possible but extremely difficult and also voids your warranty.

How to do it wasn't explained to me. Something about the head being glued or epoxied very well.
