Please excuse my bad english. But I think you'll understand me.)

Most facts about the Gladius have already been said in other reviews. There is not much left for me. All I can give you is a short comparison to the Nuwai ALX-352L.

First of all I want to mention, that, at the time of writing this, the ALX-352L is the 5th powerful LED flashlight at flashlightreviews.com by overall output (65). More powerful are the SF L2 (89),the Diamond Mag Fraen (100), the EL Phaser (125) and the EL Tri-Star (140). The last three aren't really fair opponents, I think.

But now to the Gladius:
I was very precarious about the ceramic coating. Some said it easily wears off. So I handled it with care. But I have to say, if you don't drop it on hard surfaces, it won't be a problem. I put it in and out of the pouch a hundred times now and it looks like new.

The other thing I found, is that the batteries, which seems to be depleted in the Nuwai, work great in the Gladius for a long time. The difference to full batteries is not recognisable by me. Only the low-battery warning blinking. Of course that is not a plus for the Gladius. The cause is the stupid regulation by the Nuwai. (see the runtimeplot).

Video based on the pictures below.

And now some pictures:

These look much darker than it was. Sorry. 1s exposure time would look more real. The house was very good illuminated.

Yeah, thanks for that. Nice pictures. I love my Gladius beam and tint! I've had good luck with the CeraKote and really like the feel of it.

I love that CeraKote too and want to get a green Gladius before they change the coating on that color.

Thanks to all for your replys. I hope the large pictures are ok for you? Or would you prefer thumbnails?

Here's the video based on the pictures. Have fun. (WMV9 - You may need to update your Windows Media Player)

@Firebladz: I can really recommand the Nuwai. But you're right, runtime is not good due to poorly regulation circuit. It stops the light from working although there is still about 30% battery power.

@jar3ds: Whats the problem w/ cerakote?

Btw. Has anybody found pictures of the HAIII finish?

Don't know. I do not own the G2. Why don't you just compare the dimensions of these lights? :)

As a stagehand I love the versatility of Gladius how it dims and it's 0.8 lumen is great for
dark stage work. Vary good throw when watching grid movement scenery etc. My new
Amilight T-5 is great for stage work also, The majority of flashlight work on stage is at a
low setting or darkened with a jell mostly blue shades.

One nice light, beautiful pics of the beamshots, they look almost cartoonish.
