Just wondering if and how well the Bugout Gear 3W dropin works with the rechargeable batteries available from lighthound.com?

Or are there any better choices for either LED or batteries?

Thanks!

You can use the 3W drop in with either R123 or the Pila 168s/150s which are available on our site. We also have some CPF only specials on the "specials" page.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

BugOutGear - Am I understanding correctly?
You can use the 3W drop in module with two (2) 3.6v RCR123 (total 7.2-8.4 volts)?

What about the 5W?

Thanks

Hi everyone -

the 3W works anywhere in the 3v - 9v range.
I run it on a 3.7v rechargable 17650 Li-Ion battery in a G2 and a Brinkmann Maxfire. Add a clickie to the G2 and it's a great all-around work light.

The 5W as I understand it is ONLY for 6v use. I haven't read anything to the contrary.
