Sorry if this is covered somewhere else; I just couldn't find it.

Other than the U2 (and Pila's own lights) are there any bodies that would take these batteries? Specifically, I was thinking of something to mount a L4 head on and then take advantage of the huge increase in capacity between the 168s and 168a (1600 to 2200 for AW's protected li-ons.) Any of the vital-gears or balrog bodies able to accept the 18mm batt?

Thanks.

I don't know about lights that take the 168A or protected 18650 (since protected 18650s seem to be a bit bigger than "true" 18650s). The 168A is actualy 19 mm in diameter. There are a couple of lights that take an unprotected 18650.

Surefire U2
LionHeart?

A forum search for 168a reveals a few more.

The Szenzhen light claims protection circutry in the light, though that's not verified. We're not sure about whether the VB-16 has any kind of protection.

Microfire's 2x123A LED lights appear to use the same body as their M2 xenon light, which can use a single 18650.

However, I must tell you that I recently received 18500 and 17500 cells from AW. The 18500 cells were too wide to fit in my Microfire M3. They had no trouble fitting my Wolf Eyes 9MX. I don't know whether a Wolf Eyes 18xxx would fit.

Balazer: thanks for the links those are certainly attractive lights that I hadn't seen before. Right now they're both under $50 (and the swat comes with batts and a charger!) Let's just put it this way: my wallet wishes I didn't know about them. :)

The second link just came up with an Arc thread. Was it supposed to be a "18650" search?

Thanks for the info.

So no bodies that will fit a 18650 or 168a AND screw onto a KL1 or KL4 head?

Somehow I screwed up the thread number for post #3 above. Post edited.
