Who's that hiding behind Daddy Raw?
Wee_Raw.jpg

Had to do this before somebody beat me to it.
Thanks to another 3.7 volt Li-ion cell from AW, 14270, 310mAh.
Which is just that bit slimmer than a RCR2.
Also A McR-18mm turned down to make a McR-16mm ?!
I was able to create another high power Tiny Tiny Son of Raw!

I had some Nickel Silver waiting to be transformed, It is a great material to work with. Turns like brass. I really like the colour, Silver with a hint of grey. Nearly Titanium colour.
Thermal conductivity seems Ok so far & will carry for a few weeks to see how it weathers. It appears hard wearing & should not corrode.??

Specs: Wee Raw

3 watt TWAJ
High Low 2 stage Twisty
15mins Run time High
7 Hours Run Time Low
Mcr-16mm Aluminium Reflector
310 Mah Li-ion Rechargable
Material Nickel Silver
O-rings Bezel & join
45mm Long 18mm Dia

This is not meant to be my next production Light, more a test of the material & just to keep up with what we have available.
However as before, if there is demand then why not supply

Oooh... shiny. :D How's the brightness compared to the bigger daddy Raw? It appears almost finger-size - I'm wondering how well the light performs as a 'keychain' light in low...

Haesslich: Wee Raw is just as bright as Daddy Raw. Its is also 10mm shorter than my little finger. I'm sure it will preform very well as a keychain light Low & high.

GJW: Three Thread same as Big Raw, Never thought I'd say BIG Raw!
Degrees On/Off depends on how far you twist from Off??

I wonder how this would look in solid gold sitting next to my Siver Raw???
Perhaps I should start buying lottery tickets too.

Nice light Rob. The specialized battery would be a concern for me as well. Keep up the good work, I like what you're doing. Just love my Raw BTW.

Heh, if you also need a non local beta tester, I am good to go. I will be sure to let you know how it works in the USA's unique climate and temperatures!

Looks awesome!

The battery supply shouldn't be a problem even though the 14270 is not a very common consumer size battery. In fact, the 14270 and its very close relative 14250 is rolling off assembly lines like other size batteries from different manufacturers. Just think of CR2 cell couple years ago, I couldn't even name how many flashlights were using them back then, maybe two or three at the most. Innovation drives things popular, if our current trend of going small on EDC continues, I think these small size batteries will soon be as common as their big brother ;-)
